An inclusive Approach for Social Integration

Side Event Program for the Second UN World Summit for Social Development

I. Core Information of the Side Event

(1) Basic Information

The Second World Summit for Social Development is convened pursuant to United Nations General Assembly Resolutions 78/261 and 78/318, under the official title of "Second World Summit for Social Development". Thirty years after the 1995 World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen, the international community will reconvene in Doha, Qatar, from November 4 to 6, 2025, for this second summit.
Building on the ten commitments and the Copenhagen Declaration adopted at the 1995 World Summit for Social Development, the second summit will focus on cooperation in areas such as poverty eradication, promotion of full employment and decent work, and social inclusion. It aims to ensure that no one is left behind in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. The summit seeks to bridge persistent gaps, reaffirm the global commitment to social development, and inject new impetus into the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In Doha, global leaders will gather to reformulate strategies for social progress, strengthen global partnerships, advance inclusive policies, and create equitable opportunities for all. Our goal is to build more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable societies.
